Just don't. Would never book through Stayz ever again.
Your alleged "techincal issues" are not, or should not be my problem. I have made three lengthy calls, each time asking for your help team to keep me informed of updates but have had ZERO communication back.
Not sure if this is contempt for your hapless customers or organised fraud - the result for me either way is currently a loss of my savings and the loss of confidence in booking online ever again.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund. Full payment refunded 2 weeks after host cancellation of Paris accommodation. Never ever deal with Belvilla.
DECLARATIONI am a Property Management Professional.BACKGROUND1. On 15 July I made a 14 night booking in Paris through the Stayz platform, using a bank issued Mastercard.2.
VRBO Stayz issued a booking confirmation on 15 July3. Belvilla confirmed my booking on 15 July with an emailed Booking Voucher, prior to receiving the funds 4. My payment was processed by my bank on 17 July and paid directly to Belvilla's account in Zurich5. VRBO Stayz advised via email on 19 July that my booking had been cancelled by the host without providing any further information6.
I telephoned VRBO Stayz Support on 19 July to seek further advice, and to clarify the refund process. I was advised that the booking was directly with Belvilla who would be issuing the refund and VRBO Stayz raised a Case ID #7. Belvilla advised me directly via telephone on 19 July that they could not initiate the refund until my funds were received by Belvilla8. Bellvilla also advised via the same telephone call and again in writing (below) that the refund was initiated by Belvilla on 15 July10.
Belvilla advised me via telephone on 19 July that the refund would take 3 - 10 days to appear in my account11. Belvilla advised via telephone on 19 July that their software was unable to provide proof that the refund process had been activated12. The Belvilla telephone representative was unable to advise me of Belvilla's refund policy beyond "not before we receive your funds"13. Belvilla advised on 19 July that the booking cancellation was initiated by the host because "they would be fined €50,000 for taking a booking of less than 30 days".14.
Belvilla emailed me after the telephone conversation ended on 19 July, advising me of the cancellation by the host "for operational reasons" 23 July UPDATEVRBO Stayz Support made contact with Belvilla on 19 July, after I escalated my complaint. Belvilla responded via VRBO Stayz Support on 21 July as follows;"I would like to inform you that a refund was initiated from our end on 15-07-2025. The refunded amount should reflect in xxxx'x source account within 2 to 3 weeks from the initiation date. Please note that the refund is still in progress, and proof of refund can only be provided once the process is successfully completed.If xxxx wishes to rebook with us, please let us know, and we will be more than happy to assist."Given the previous communications with Belvilla listed above, I consider Belvilla's response to be both unreasonable and unprofessional .There has been no further response from Belvilla as of 23 July.In circumstances where the host has initiated the cancellation, it appears to me that a reasonable minimum expectation of the host's agent, Belvilla, is to; 1.
immediately inform the client of any change to their booking outside of their control 2.
to keep the client fully and directly informed of all of the circumstances surrounding this matter from booking confirmation to completion, and 3. to facilitate the refund process as promptly as is humanly possible.Belvilla, a company boasting of 40 years operational experience in the international accommodation business, have failed on all 3 counts.I choose to believe that the circumstances around this matter are due to incompetence, however, the lack of transparency surrounding the matter certainly raises ethical questions about Belvilla's professional standards, however, I would be delighted to be shown to be wrong on that count.Has anyone else had a similarly unsatisfactory experience with BELVILLA?Will I rebook with Belvilla?HELL NO

I received a booking confirmation and voucher # 1K6TZ1DK from Belvilla acknowledging receipt of payment on 17 July.
3. On 18 July, I received an email from Stayz advising that the booking had been cancelled by the host, containing no further details regarding the reason or refund procedure.
4. I contacted Stayz customer service at 0900 AEST, who advised waiting until they had spoken to Belvilla to determine next steps and that I should attempt to contact Belvilla directly as well. If no positive response was received from Belvilla, Stayz would refund the full payment as I was not at fault, Case ID 14210****.

I have subsequently had extensive conversations with Belvilla via chat and telephone over the course of 18 July.

Long story short, I have been told so many lies by Belvilla that I cannot believe anything they say, e.g., the refund was processed on 15 July.
7. I now request that as I have a contract with Stayz for this transaction, not Belvilla, whom Stayz have the arrangement with, that Stayz immediately refund the full amount of $AUD3589.25 to me, as promised by your customer service agent on the phone on 18 July.

I tried booking a place for a holiday, but it told me the property was unavailable. There was a glitch in the system.
I didn't get any confirmation email; my account didn't have any future bookings, and there was no info on the booking. But closer to the date of the booking, they took out the money from my account.
There is no way to contact Stayz.com; they have made it impossible for you to get through to them, and the computerized messaging even told me I had no bookings with Stayz. I won't ever book with Stayz again, as I don't trust their website.

I'm trying to book an accommodation, but the booking type does not match the description. Title says 2 bedroom garden villa and but when going to pay, the description says I'm paying for one bedroom which is almost impossible when there are 2 rooms in the villa.
Called customer service - First time, the person hung up on me. 2nd time i called back, the other side is just silence for such a long time. Then i got a call back from a customer service number in Oregon but no one was talking. Really disappointed with their customer service.
No attention to detail on the website and customer is really the worst I have ever encountered for a third party booking website. I'm based in Australia.

the link on the web site does not work, tried the BOT and after waiting more than 15 minutes couldn't send my question, called the 1800 number waited over 50 minutes then got disconnected. ringing again its already been more than 15 minutes. Wasted my entire afternoon for no service.

I booked an accommodation in Malaysia at the end of July for stay end August.
Numerous messages and calls are unresponsive. Their AI support is as bad as their app.
The confirmation took a long time to come through.
Booking made on the 31st July 2025 but the recovery of cancellation refers to " full amount paid back if cancellation is on the 27 th July. Really?
But the booking wasn't generated till 31st
The owners are requesting for charges beyond the stipulated in the billing invoice. Can't get any support from Stayz to resolve the issue.
Never again.

I found the Stays phone number in Australia and my booking was cancelled and refunded.

Unable to get confirmation from the company regarding my booking cancellation and return of the more than $10,000 AUD to me as a refund, given that the cancellation was lodged by me within 48 hours of making the booking. I was advised that obtaining the refund could take up to 5-7 business days, but could get no explanation as to why this lengthy delay was necessary in making a simple bank transfer. When I attempted to speak with someone from the company, none of the customer service phone numbers worked, all providing a call failed message.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with other. Security Deposit. Don’t book with Stayz.
I was not getting any communication through the Stayz App or the VRBO app. I got a call that I missed while travelling and when I tried to return call no answer.
When travelling overseas it would be nice to get be able to contact someone when you have issues regarding access to accommodation. Regards Nerida Grant

Tenant has left the property, but at no time did they attempt to quiet the two dogs. Only when home during the evening did the dogs behave. Trying to get a contact person with Stayz is hopeless; your listed phone number does not help the consumer.

I had a frustrating experience with Stayz/ Vrbo After my stay at the holiday house, I was expecting a prompt refund of my bond. However, it has been over 2 weeks and despite multiple follow-ups, I still haven't received my money back.
Customer service has been unresponsive and unhelpful, leaving me feeling ignored.
Host was very unprofessional and didnt communicate just say there were issue and willing to take money dishonestly and unable to send report regarding issues. Im disappointed and wouldnt recommend this company based on my experience.
